PIPSICO Summer Camp 2025

Scouts and Scouters,
Summer camp is right around the corner! Planning on joining us for camp? The troop is going to PIPSICO BSA Summer Camp (57 Pipsico Road, Spring Grove, VA 23881), Week 1 (June 22-28, 2025).
Scouts have the opportunity to pick from more than 60 Merit Badge selections. Included with these options is the Huskanaw program. The program's purpose is to teach Scouts about the patrol method, Troop organization, being prepared, resourcefulness, and skills for Scout, Tenderfoot, Second Class, and First Class ranks. Either all morning or all afternoon, it allows time for up to 3 Merit Badges classes.

Merit Badges: Pipsco is now accepting Summer Camp enrollments, with Merit Badge selection beginning March TBD. More information to come.

You want to go to camp. What to do now?
- Let us know you plan on attending camp (you can email us via TroopTrack email and update calendar)
- Check out your Session options and pick your options
- Submit your selections, with fees (see below) to Paul or Sharon Gardner. You can email your options. See below for ways to pay.
Fees:
Scouts $405 - Early Bird (by 4/12/2025) - after that date $425
Adults $190
- Early discount for payment before April 12, 2025. Late fee for payment after June 1, 2025.
- For Merit Badge Registration, PIPSICO will only allow Merit Badge Selections for scouts that have paid a minimum of $125.
- Merit Badge Class Enrollment is open starting March TBD.

- Write check or send Zelle to Troop 189 (contact Shannon Howell)
Before Camp:
- Let us know you plan on attending camp (you can email us via TroopTrack email and update calendar)
- Schedule and take your physical. This must be done for all Scouts and Scouters.
- Submit 2 copies of your BSA Medical Form (Part C signed by medical professional) and 2 copies of your Health Insurance card or TRICARE proof of insurance. Date of physical must be less than a year before camp.
- If applicable, Food Allergy forms need to be given 3 weeks BEFORE camp.
- Pay any remaining camp fees to the Troop.
- Permission form coming soon. The exact time to meet will be set out when we get our assigned arrival timeslot from camp.

- Ready to start packing? <packing list to come>
- If you don't already have one, get a Rubbermaid Action Packer Storage Container (24 gallon) for storing items that go to camp. We prefer all campers use this particular item to make packing the trailer easier. These can be found at REI, Walmart, online (i.e. Amazon), etc.
